Week 31: Tennessee, lol
Well. It's that time a week again. Welcome back to Elder Creer's monologue.
This week was pretty good.
We had Christmas Zone conference on Friday, and it was awesome. It was a few hours shorter than a normal zone conference, but we enjoyed getting to hear special musical numbers and focusing on the birth of our Savior. We also had a white elephant exchange, and did some skits, so it was nice to feel like a normal person again. President Alder also read to us "Twas the night before Christmas," which in past years I probably couldn't care less about. But as President Alder read that to all the missionaries at Zone conference, I could feel the deep love and respect that him and Sister Alder have for each individual missionary they've worked with.
Zone Conference was up in Lexington, and it was kind of crazy to see a Gold Star Chili there. It's weird to think that I'm literally serving like 3 hours from Cincinnati. I still have yet to eat at Gold Star, even after living in Cincy for like 8 years. For those of you who don't know, Cincinnati Chili is a big thing. For reasons I still don't know why.
Other than that, this week was pretty uneventful. We basically were missionaries. Lol.
Tuesday though was unique. We went down to a town called Williamsburg and were contacting several people down there. Particularly we were south of Williamsburg which is right on the Tennessee Border (the mission border). Pretty much there's a small sliver (like 2 feet) of Tennessee that's technically in our mission according to area book. So naturally, we had to take a detour. See pics. I low-key kind of felt apostate about it, but I guess it's in the books now. So I basically just waved to Sister Patterson and Sister Matthews while down there.
Anyways, Christmas is literally on Sunday which is insane. I hope y'all enjoy this week of break, and have a very merry Christmas!!
