Week 60: A Whirlwind of Fireworks and Rain

What a week!

Seriously, so much has happened. I can't even believe that the 4th of July was on Tuesday!

But enough said, talk to y'all next week!!!

Lol, I guess I'll start with the 4th of July. Naturally, everyone was out partying, so the work was a little interesting. We did some facebook work, and then actually went out and knocked a lot of doors, which was kind of fun. Some guy showed us his Tesla, and he said he may check out Church sometime. The night scene was crazy though. Some people in the neighborhood next to our apartments went off on their fireworks, and gave us a show. It was quite the sight.

It was also quite the sight to see when they accidentally shot off some firework at someone's house, and it lit up their entire driveway and garage.

On Wednesday we went on exchanges with the APs. I went up to their area in Crestwood, and it was unique. Their area is whack. A bunch of rich people, and it's super spread out. But yeah, it was fun to see the entire transfer board in their apartment.

Thursday, our mission had a call with an MTC social media specialist, in which it kind of felt like she was chastising us. It was interesting. But at the same time inspiring? 🤷

Ok, now to some fun stuff. This weekend we saw some crazy flash floods.  And we went door knocking in it. I never thought in my life I would say this, but it was seriously so fun! Elder Smith and I got some rain coats on, used a singular umbrella, and went and pounded some doors. People were probably so lost when they opened the door to two drenched missionaries asking if they wanted a message about Jesus Christ, but it paid off, as we talked with a 16 year old, who only spoke Spanish, saying he would really like a message. Other than that, no one was interested. But we did our best. See video for a good time.

Sunday, no one came to Church. rip. I guess we have no friends. We'll see some next week. Hopefully.

But President Eric Bednar was at Church for the other congregations, ward conference. So I talked with him about Fayetteville, and got a picture with him. It was really funny to see how similar to his Dad he is. But yeah, he talked about the Wagstaffs, President Gualdin, Brother Ammons, and others from Fayetteville. Small world indeed.

But yeah, that was the week I guess. Stay tuned for next week. Ciao!

Oh yeah, I forgot. Someone hit us in the middle of the night. Rip to the car with 500 miles on it.
