Week 105: SDF --> XNA

Image
Well. It's here y'all. Last week of my mission. I'm excited to fly home on Saturday and reunite with my family after not seeing them for so long. I hit two years on Tuesday/Wednesday, and it really is crazy. But enough of the cliches... This past week ATE, and left absolutely no crumbs. Well, I guess it left a few crumbs, but that's alright. We found 3 solid families this week, which is so big for this area and for this transfer. I was so grateful to see their faith in Jesus Christ and their desires to grow closer to Him.  We also knocked into to some business venturist that is bringing Swig to Louisville and Southern Indiana over the next year or so. He's super familiar with the Church and even has a Quad lol.  We got to attend a baptism for the Spanish Elders, which is the first baptism for the Clarksville Spanish Group since they made it a group last month. So that was exciting. I basically had a sinus infection this entire past week though, so that was a bit of ...

Week 104: Departing Testimony

  Wow. First of all! Happy Mother's Day! So grateful for my Mom, and for all the other mothers of the world. It was a good day yesterday to get to call my Mom and as some say, "chop it up." Other than yesterday, this week was a bit of a grinder again, but that's ok. We had my last Zone Conference on Wednesday which was really wholesome and caused a lot of reflection for me. I bore testimony of how Jesus Christ has sustained me over the last 2 years, through the highs and lows. Of how the Book of Mormon and the words of living prophets are the key to spiritual survival. I was the only one in the group going home, so it was kind of weird to be the only one there, but it was a good time.  The rest of the week has been a LOT of finding, and it's been a little tough, but we've been making the most of it. We've foun...

Wow. What a week! Low-key don't even know where to start. This was a vibe of a week. In all honesty, this week was a bit of a find grind. But that's aight. We were able to talk about family history with a friend yesterday, and we're excited to teach him again tomorrow. We're really hoping that he will progress as it's been a struggle to find here the last little bit.  In terms of wild things, this week involved an exchange in Salem Indiana, a member meal that involved a guy incessantly wanting to know our bucket list for life while flexing his on us, the 150th Kentucky Derby, and member meal involving a dressed up Jockey. SALEM: Interesting and fun exchange. We got to teach a few people which was fun, and we also did some facebook work at the town square, which was pretty cool. I got to be with Elder Adams again, which was super fun. BUCKET LIST: The members in Salem that fed us had some non-member family staying with them for Derby weekend. It was always on their b...
