Week 3: Departure Approaching...Part 3

Well everyone, another week at the MTC gone by, and another email written on a sticky key keyboard. Riveting stuff, let me tell ya. The last week has been great, hanging out with the district and enjoying feeling the Spirit throughout the week. It's been a lot of hard work with that 6:30am - 10:30 grind, filled class, devotionals, and CANC (Cannon Center) food 2.0. Seriously, the Spirit is so strong here. I feel like I'm having an outpouring of God's love and of the Holy Ghost surrounded by hundreds of people learning how to help others come closer to Christ. Bearing our testimonies with the district is some of the highlights of my MTC experience and is seriously some of the better spiritual experiences I've had. In all honesty, other than the Spirit felt here, not too much has happened this week that's really email-worthy. But here's some pictures...

(Another mural from the MTC of Moses parting the Red Sea - probably the coolest one here (3rd floor of the east-side of T4 for those going to the MTC Soon))

Anyways, kind of a lame email, but I just want to say that I love teaching by the Spirit. To be honest, it's basically useless if we're not being led by the Holy Ghost to teach. As a member of the Godhead, the Holy Ghost knows exactly the needs of every individual that we teach, and if we're in tune with the spiritual promptings and feelings of the Spirit, we can teach exactly what they need to hear. It's truly powerful to testify by the gift of the Holy Ghost (for non-members, in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, after we are baptized we are given what's called the gift of the Holy Ghost, which gives us the right to have the influence of the Spirit in our lives constantly if we remain worthy of that gift. The Spirit gives us feelings of comfort, warnings of physical and spiritual danger, and leads us in knowing what to say and do through feelings we get in our heart and thoughts that come to our mind. Probably sounds crazy, but I mean, it's pretty cool and special to members of the Church)

Anyways, I love you all. I'm excited to leave for the field THIS COMING MONDAY! It's crazy to think that in like 72 hours I'll be in Kentucky. It'll be riveting to wake up at like 3:30am to get up to Salt Lake in time, but you know, it is what it is. Anyways, talk to y'all soon! If I don't respond after today for a bit, it's because my next P-day will probably be a week from this coming Monday (and it will be Mondays from here on out).
