Week 10: Let Me Just Pull Out My Brain Washing USB Stick Real Quick

10 weeks in I guess. That's kind of crazy. It's gone by so fast, but at the same time I feel like I've been a missionary forever. Now brace yourself for what I'm about to say. I don't want anyone to like fall off the chair on this one or anything. That would be terrifying and I would feel guilt for a few seconds. Here it is: "time is weird on the mission."

Anyways, transfers were this week, and we lost Elder Hayes which was pretty sad. I'm now in a normal duo which is kind of a different experience. Duos are just a little quieter, but it's still fun.

I'm getting pretty used to just walking out into a sauna everyday. The humidity here is pretty much like Arkansas and is a vibe and a half. My clothes are basically sticking to me by the end of the day, and it's straight disgusting. Hope y'all enjoyed the TMI.

We were cast out of someone's presence yesterday, which was unique. We were just walking up to them to ask a question about their neighbor, and they did a hand circle and cast us out. But then said "bless y'all" for what we're doing. And I'm like k cool. I guess we won't know about their neighbor. Fun fact: missionaries aren't trying to brain wash people with cultish practices and demon doctrine. But people are people. We still love them if they think that.

But yeah, this week, we enjoyed a Branch pioneer day party Saturday night to which 3 of our friends came to! That was pretty fun and we enjoyed hanging out with them, and having a lesson with 2 of them afterwords. Our area is thriving and we're having a lot of success with lessons and friends keeping commitments. My comp and I are praying for 2 convert baptisms this transfer, and we think it's definitely possible, even though it's probably a bit of a stretch.

We also have a members' 8 year old getting baptized this coming Saturday which is going to be awesome. Elder Carlson is doing the Baptism, and I'll be doing the Confirmation which will be super cool :)

Pictures:
New Harmony, Indiana is a cool little small town. We had a lesson near this lake and there's just a big chair there.
"Yeah! Swan Lake."  Shout out if you can figure out the movie without any intonation or anything.

The work continues! Talk to y'all next week!

Love,

Elder Creer
