Week 26: trio life 2.0 (oh, and also 6 months)
What a week!
Zone conference was on Tuesday, and it was awesome. Loved getting to feel the Spirit in abundance, and enjoyed getting to gather as a Zone again (crazy it was my 4th one here already). We talked about the Light the World campaign which will launch in a few days, and I'm pretty excited to be a missionary for it. We were also informed that the area presidency wants missionaries to be going to the temple more often. So now we'll get to go once every 3 or so transfers, which is really great. I definitely have missed the temple being a missionary.
So 6 months. On Wednesday I will be a quarter of the way done with my mission. Feels like an eternity, but also feels like a blur, so "Forward pressing forward" I guess.
Thursday saw me on an exchange here in Henderson (getting to drive again, which was great). I was with a new missionary who's reassigned here before he gets his visa for Peru. We enjoyed getting to rake more leaves (eye-roll) and teaching several lessons.
And then came Friday. Our district leader's companion had to go home on Wednesday, and basically they didn't know (oh my goodness, while proof-reading I spelled know as no... I'm losing my mind) what to do with him, after having him with a temporary companion for two days. So now I'm in a trio again which is pretty fun. Elder Wood is now my 5th companion. Nothing like a good ET (emergency transfer). I feel kind of bad for him though, because this is is his 2nd ET this transfer, and his 4th companion in a row that has gone home early. So yikes. But it's a party here in Henderson with 3 missionaries again.
Also... it snowed!!! It legit dropped like 2 or 3 inches of packing snow on Saturday (after being in the 70s Monday through Thursday).
From teaching an elderly member yesterday... "I just don't know what my son means! He said something along the lines of 'Snoop Dog is a G???" like what does that even mean?" Ahahahahaha. The way she said it was so funny."
Apparently an Elder McBride served in Henderson. No one will understand why that is terrifying, but suffice it to say, we will not be telling one of our friends that.
Oh my goodness, this email is so lame. I'm losing my humor. There is nothing to be sarcastic about AHHHHHHHHHH!

Insert Michael Buble Christmas Album (That we can't listen too (eye roll))
Everyone loves a good before and after. Is it too much to insert another eye roll? Probably.
(eye roll)
Anyways, love y'all!!! Talk to you next week!
