Week 29: *insert some subject line, I just can't think of a good one*
Hi.
Elder Creer again. Happy December.
Overall a pretty interesting week. We contaccted a lot of referrals this week and found not a whole lot of success. But that's all good, we did see several awesome miracles that helped lift our spirits over the lull in the work.
We had a lesson with a young adullt and his friend wearing a religious school college sweatshirt (if that makes any sense). Anyways, low key thought they were going to bash us. Especially when they started asking questions (in the public library btw) like "not trying to cause any contention here, but..." It was kind of funny, but it turns out they were just genuinely interested and asking curious questions. Now not entirely convinced that they aren't playing the long game with us, but I guess we'll see next Saturday at the library. Hopefully, you know, they actually consider that we teach about Jesus and not polygamy or being saved by works. Lol.
We also had Stake conference in Lexington this past weekend (stake conference is like a regional conference for our church that happens twice a year). It was really cool because they were calling a new Stake President and Elder Vern P. Stanfill was there. The Spirit was really strong throughout the meeting, and I enjoyed hearing the testimonies of the former and new Stake Presidency members. Elder Stanfill was pretty funny as well. Apparently he's good friends with Elder David A. Bednar, and he told the story of how he called Eric Bednar (Elder Bednar's son) to be stake president of the Crestwood Kentucky Stake. Basically, he felt really prompted to call Eric Bednar to be Stake President, but was worried that he would get a phone call from Elder Bednar about it if he followed the prompting. Well he heeded the prompting and promptly got a call from Elder Bednar saying "does our relationship have anything to do with this?" Elder Stanfill said no, and then Elder Bednar just said fine and hung up. It was pretty funny, and sorry, but that probably made no sense. Just trust that it was hilarious.
Anyways, I got to drive again this week on exchanges which was fun. Except the Equinox is a garbage car compared to the Rogue. But that's ok.
Also ate at the first KFC (which for some reason is located in Corbin). Not going to lie that was the first time I've eaten at KFC and very well might be the last. They mixed up my sandwhich with Elder Lichlyter (and his was spicy). It wasn't finger lickin good.
But we took some pictures at Sanders Park, so that was fun.
Anyways. I'm going to sign off now. Love y'all!!

This Colonel Sanders stuff low key feels like idol worship. Especially for producing not good food.
Some train in Corbin
We had an accident with our Christmas tree.
