Week 39: training part 2

 Hi. Elder Creer again.

Another week in the field. Another transfer in the books. Transfer number 7 Here. We. Come!

For the next installment in my mission, Elder Lichlyter will be heading up to Lexington to Bluewash (Elders replacing Sisters) an area up there. And I will be staying down here in Corbin and training a brand new missionary. So yeah. I'll most likely be in Corbin for 6 months by the end of my time here. What! Literally the best Ward ever, so I'm not complaining.

Anyways, this week was super great. Tiring, but good. I'm reminded of the phrase often said by the MTC President's wife... "Faint, yet persevering."

We played pickleball with the youth for activities Wednesday night. It was super awkward though because A) it wasn't regulation on a carpeted Gym (slash Chapel) floor and B) they for some reason put us Elders together and we beat like 5 teams in a row of kids who had never played pickleball in their life. Not going to lie, I was uncomfortable the entire time. I guess you could say it was an interesting night.

We went to a hospital this week to visit a referral, and a member who works there just walked in while we were with the person. It was kind of hilarious, and we were like, oh hey. He texted us later saying you're welcome for the member present lesson.

We were able to bless a member's apartment down in Williamsburg this week. Her roommate was super funny, and they were in the process of setting up their dorm WiFi. It was like the same router as my dorm WiFi, and I of course had to comment that the default password last year was waterybanana333 (@Rush) and she said "Stop. That's too good." I guess "mastercello42" wasn't good enough for her.

And then, as usual, the weekend was crazy busy, with us running around our entire area. We taught a lady yesterday who fell asleep about 8 times during our lesson (several of those times happened while she was speaking in the middle of a sentence). We're pretty sure she was half dreaming because she said that the Jehovah's Witnesses were already at her house twice that day, and that the "mormons" were their too.

And then Sunday! Judy came to Church!!! Our faces literally just lit up when I saw her walk in, and Elder Lichlyter and I were so happy to see her there. She's on date for baptism in May, and she's come for the last month or so over zoom, and now she finally came in person. We also and a lesson with her later that afternoon with the Bishop and two of his sons which went super well as well. His two sons (11 and 13) did awesome, and while were walking out one of them said that he is 100% going on a mission after that. So that was cool :)

Anyways, this is way too long. Enjoy some pictures of cows and what-not...

Love you all and praying for you all!!!
