Week 40: Diligence and Pressing Forward

Happy P-day, y'all!!! ahahaha, get it? Ahahahahaha

Well 'twas transfer week.

I'm not going to lie, I don't think there could be a better week for me to begin training a new missionary. 2 days early of 9 months, I gave birth to a healthy Elder. A little weirder written out than in my head, but we'll just leave it at that.

Elder Barfuss is my new companion, all the way from Burley, Idaho. He's come with a passion for the work and a sincere desire to help others, so I'm grateful for that. After roughly 6 hours on the road and 3 hours of transfers/trainings, we hit the ground running Tuesday night with some contacts and member visits. The grind never stops my friends, the grind never stops Haven't had a day off in 280 days as of today, so that's fun to think about sometimes.

But the hard work pays off!! We put a friend on baptism date on Thursday!!! WoooHooo! Jason is now on date for March 25th. It's gonna be interesting to see if he will make that date, especially since he didn't come to Church yesterday, but we have the faith and hope that he will be able to make it!

Friday was district council again. Yesterday during district leader calls, I had a missionary tell me that he loved my training, but that he hated it during the training. So that was unique. In their words, "the wicked taketh the truth to be hard." Lol, I didn't know how to react. I just talked about our missionary tag and diligence, but whatevs I guess...

Members continue to kill it as usual. They are seriously so awesome. We had one of our member friends, Bobby, bring his granddaughter Wizna to Church which was so awesome. He also talked to the Bishop yesterday about getting a temple recommend so that he can have his Dad be baptized in the Temple (what!!!). We also were able to see some other inactive member friends at Church which was awesome!!

We also did some service for some members this week, working in their greenhouse/high tunnel thing. It was pretty cool I guess. I about sank in the mud though.

Other than that, I guess life is life. Casually chilling at 9 months on the mission, and looking forward to the next 15 months!!!
