Week 42: Reunion Exchange

Well this was a fun week.

Welcome back to the KLM Weekly everyone! Today is Friday March 3rd, 2023, and we're happy to give you the latest update on this week's happenings!! My name is Elder Creer, and this is my companion, Elder Callahan! It's a brisk 50 degrees here in Richmond, Kentucky with tornado watches in effect until 5pm for the greater Lexington area and 50+ mph winds for the rest of the night. Please stay in your apartments and don't exchange back with your regularly scheduled companion until tomorrow. Thank you, and God Bless!

So that was my week, lol. We went on exchanges with the zone leaders starting Thursday after a zone leadership meeting. I went up to Richmond with Elder Callahan (my comp during the Christmas season), while his companion came down here to Corbin with Elder Barfuss. And thus commenced the Reunion Exchange of March 2023.

We had a pretty cool lesson with a friend on Thursday afternoon, did some door knocking, and then we finished off the day with some basketball night in which we had two non-members come, which was pretty fun. Except for the fact that I'm terrible at basketball and wildly out of shape for basketball. But it was still a good time, and good to meet some new people up in the Richmond/Berea area. EKU go Big EEEEEEEEEE!

Anyways. Friday morning we wake up to a text saying there's a mandatory meeting for District Leaders regarding the severe weather for the day. So we join that, and we essentially are told we had to stay indoors all day. There were a few exceptions for things that were close by. But because of distance and the weather, we were unable to exchange back at our regular time. So, Elder Callahan and I stayed another day together up in Richmond! 🥳Party🥳!!! We then enjoyed two separate district councils over zoom (since I had to lead my district, and Elder Callahan needed to be in his district), and then enjoyed some contacting over the phone. Not gonna lie, it was hard to be inside all day, but we got through it, and it was pretty fun being with Elder Callahan again. So yeah. We enjoyed responding to all of the messenger chats blowing up when missionaries' power started going out, and other crazy stuff. 45 hour exchange in the books.

Other than that, this week was pretty normal. Had some lessons. Did some Door knocking. Visited some members. All in a week's work, I guess. Greatful for the opportunity I have to bear testimony of the Savior each day and of His love and compassion for each child of God. We had several friends at Church yesterday, which brought my heart joy. Our friend on date for baptism is so strong, and we're really looking forward to her baptism in May. We still have some hurdles to jump through with her, but we're praying hard that Judy will make it into the waters of Baptism to make promises with God.

Hope all is well with each and every one of you!!!

Lots of Love,

Elder Creer
