Week 43: You got mail!

Ahh so glad it's P-day. What a lovely weekly reoccurrence to rest and relax.

This week saw some exchanges, interviews, 2 new families found, and a potential new friend on date for baptism!!! 🥳🥳

Yesterday, after Sacrament meeting, one of our friends who has come to Church for the last 2 years pretty consistently came up to us and asked if having a strong desire to gain a testimony of the Savior and His gospel would be sufficient for baptism. He has struggled with that for a long time, and this is a major step for him!! We are super excited for him, and told him that baptism is the beginning and is the strait gate that we enter. We don't need to (and we're not going to) have perfect faith at baptism, and so hopefully that will lead somewhere with him. Pray for Alan please!!

As usual, interviews were great. Other than the fact that President Alder opened the interview by saying "So I understand we're being evicted?" To which I was shocked as I had no knowledge about it. After the initial take-back, I was like oh yikes, and I apologized. To which he said that he's not saying it's my fault. (I swear I'm a good person, ok?!?!😥) Anyways, other than that, our interview was a memorable experience. Thankfully we're not moving out until July, so we have some time to find a new place, and I probably won't even be here by then. So... I guess I can say I've been evicted? winning?

We found 2 new promising families to teach this week which is super exciting. We are really looking forward to actually sitting down and having a lesson with them this week, rather than having an informal lesson.

Exchanges happened again this week. Not quite as long as last week's party exchange, but still fun nonetheless. Elder Browning and I enjoyed proslyting around the streets of London 🏙. Oh my goodness, I love how pretentious that sounds.

Saturday night saw us delivering a mattress to some Sisters at 8:30 at night on the pitch black banks of the Rockcastle River 🏞⛺️🌙. No further comments necessary. Pics attached.

Anyways, that's probably it from me! Daylight Savings is killing me. I need to take a nap... Love you all and have a great week!!!

What a Week! We're ending with a bang over here in the KLM, that's for sure! This past week was pretty fun. We did a lot of hard work out in the heat, but it was worth it as we found a lot of cool new potentials. It's been reminding me of my Winchester and Shelbyville days with the sunny heat we've been getting. It seriously has been gorgeous weather. We found a lot of cool new people this week, and we're excited to meet again with them this coming week. We went on exchanges with the Bike Elders this week. I stayed here in New Albany with my son(!) Elder Lichlyter which was a super fun reunion exchange. It was kind of crazy since we've hardly served around each other since our time in Corbin, and it was so good to be together again. Week 104: Departing Testimony

  Wow. First of all! Happy Mother's Day! So grateful for my Mom, and for all the other mothers of the world. It was a good day yesterday to get to call my Mom and as some say, "chop it up." Other than yesterday, this week was a bit of a grinder again, but that's ok. We had my last Zone Conference on Wednesday which was really wholesome and caused a lot of reflection for me. We trained and talked a lot about Chapter 8 of Preach My Gospel. I was also able to bear my departing testimony which was such a surreal experience. I bore testimony of how Jesus Christ has sustained me over the last 2 years, through the highs and lows. Of how the Book of Mormon and the words of living prophets are the key to spiritual survival. I was the only one in the group going home, so it was kind of weird to be the only one there, but it was a good time.  The rest of the week has been a LOT of finding, and it's been a little tough, but we've been making the most of it. Week 49: Reflections

Well, week 49 in the books. Pretty good week, not going to lie. Lol, I feel like every week is the polar opposite of the previous week. Anyways, this week we enjoyed lots of door knocking, lots of member visits, and lots of attempted member participating lessons. Oh my goodness, the devil tried SO much to stop MPLs from happening this week! Like we literally had our friend and our member on over video chat for like 2 minutes, and then our friend's power went out and she couldn't call. Like oh my goodness! But it's ok. We also had a lady we were teaching couldn't meet because of certain things ("[Missionary standards] require that I answer No!" - Bob's Boss, from "The Incredibles"). Basically we bribed her and she then was happy to meet. We'll leave it at that. Ngl, that's kind of it for this week. The work just keeps on going, I guess.
