Week 50: The Sacrifice of Soliciting
Well, another week in the KLM. Happy Monday everybody!
This week was good! We did a LOT of finding, and it went really really well! On Saturday, we went down to Williamsburg and had an amazing day and placed 7 copies of the Book of Mormon and several Bibles all from door knocking! They were all genuinely curious, and wanted one, rather than forcing it on them. Several of them were students at the University of the Cumberlands, and it was cool to see some Gen Z'ers interested in the Gospel!
Anyways, we also had some really good member visits this week, particularly with members I haven't talked with much, if at all, in the past. It was pretty great!
Friday! Ok zone conference was so good! Up there as one of the more spiritually powerful ones. At the beginning, our mission leaders related to us their experience at the mission leader seminar they had last week for all the Mission Presidents and wives for the North America Southeast Area. Apparently, Elder Renlund unexpectedly just showed up during dinner, and conversed with each of the 16 or so couples there. When talking with President and Sister Alder, he said to them, "After these 2 days, go back and tell your missionaries Thank You." When they told us, I felt it touch me at the core of my soul. I think I've discovered on my mission that my love language is words of affirmation (lol I can't believe I just said that) and I just felt deep gratitude for being thanked by an Apostle of the Lord. The rest of zone conference, we talked about the gathering of Israel and the Restoration of the Gospel, and it was all really good. I loved a quote from Elder Marcus B. Nash that they shared (executive director of the missionary department):
The miracle of the gathering of Israel in these latter-days will eclipse the miracle of the children of Israel leaving Egypt - Red Sea crossing and all!"
I think that's just so powerful!
We also had to rush back down from Lexington to Corbin for a lesson with our friend Judy, and oh my goodness she's prepared! We taught the Law of Tithing and she readily accepted it! She also has had some major breakthroughs with some of her other situations that will make her that much more ready to baptized come May 21st! Super exciting!!
Anyways, there were some challenges and frustrations this week, as always, but Christ walks along with us in this work, and I'm excited for what's ahead. Transfer Calls are on Saturday, and I'm curious to see what's in store as I've been here almost 6 months. But I still have at least a week left in Corbin, and I'm gonna give it everything I got!
Y'all don't know how much I love y'all!

Judy's Lesson! (I have no idea why it's so blurry... must be this terrible phone)
Mando hit 20k! Can't believe I've driven 9000 of those since the beginning of the year
I made a baby a red dot. He was demonstrating some serious aggression towards the lesson after our meal. He became red at the request of his mother. Also, because I thought it was absolutely hilarious! 'Till next week!
