Week 52: A Late One - Winchester, KY Edition

 Well hey hey hey!

Elder Creer pretty much puts it straight in this one. This week was long, but good.

A synopsis:
Monday -
Worst P-day of my life. Rip. Basically we moved apartments in Corbin all day long. Was not fun. The Church's dumpster was practically full, and Elder Barfuss and I were both not having it. So we just put a bunch of garbage on the side of the road next to our garbage can. Hopefully Corbin Waste Management can deal with it. PSA to all missionaries (but also anyone): Plz don't hoard a bunch of garbage for future missionaries to deal with. Plz. Thx.

Yours Truly,
Elder Creer
But it's done now, so I will never have a worse P-day again!

Tuesday -
Transfer Tuesday! Woke up bright and early, dropped the key off for our old Corbin aparment, and then made the 2 1/2 hour trek up to Louisville! After visiting and reminiscing with missionaries at the mission office, Elder Edwards and I headed on over to my new area, Winchester, KY. This land is prepared let me tell ya...

Ok, I'm done with this day by day stuff...

The Rest of the Week -
I had some fun meeting people in this new land. We did some awesome door knocking/street contacting, and talked with this guy that built himself an RC Car that he clocked going 98 mph. It was pretty insane. He was also super interested in the Book of Mormon and our beliefs. He straight up said, he doesn't know why the Bible ever stopped recording scripture, which was pretty cool.

The members here are also slay. Soren is a Senior that just graduated who knows one of the members in Corbin. He's pretty funny, and has hung out with the missionaries a lot since last summer. Soren and his friend Teddy have also broken several missionary bones. We'll leave it at that.

We did some service for Wolfe County, KY on Friday. Allegedly it's one of the poorest counties in the United States, so we helped with a food bank at the fire department out there with some of the Elders in our district.

Anyways, this week has been good. Our apartment is pretty dirty, and I've spent a lot of this week trying to clean it up. It's going to be a bit of work... 😕 (See Missionary PSA again plz)

Hope you all will have a great week! As I've reflected on my last year as a missionary (I was set apart 1 year ago today!) I've been touched by the experiences that have brought me closer to the Savior, and that have brought others to Him. I look forward to what the Lord brings my way in the next year of full-time missionary service, dedicated to the Lord.

Much Love,

Elder Creer
