Week 71: the vibes of music

Image
hey, hey, hey party people!! Another week down in the KLM! Low key kind of an interesting one this week. Prolly gonna hit y'all with the bullet points this week, because I don't feel like writing, lol - Tuesday was all day door knocking. During said door knocking, a lady rudely yelled at us while getting into her car saying that there's no soliciting, asked what "company" we're from, and said she was going to call the cops. Pretty much all without letting us say anything. - Low key kind of rude and nervy, smh - MLC = vibe. 45 minute discussion on music standards. - We didn't come to a conclusion. But low key best council ever - Sister McGinn hit the griddy at the end of MLC. #icon  - Allegedly President McGinn did too. We had just left, rip. - Virtual Interviews. President and Sister McGinn were going to come to our district lunch, so 😥 - A BUNCH of new people. Super exciting! - ZLC. Made a trainee's daily joy list with him saying at the end of the ...

Week 70: budge boy sweet 16

Oh hey 😏  It's Elder Creer, again. Just another week in the chat. But sheesh this week had a whole lot happen!  That thing that happens every 6 weeks happened this past week. Elder Smith finished his mission, so (in his words) he's back in the factory *sad face emoji*. But that means a new companion is in town! Elder Murray is my new comp! We actually lived in the same dorm building at BYU together, so that's kind of fun. I think we knew of each other, but low key, I can't fully remember. It was fun to talk about the fire alarms that went off in the middle of the night like once every 2 weeks while we were there. #budgeboisunite So yeah, Elder Murray and I have been running it up since Friday afternoon, and it's been really good. We will see where the miracles of this transfer take us! Ok, so this week we went on exchanges with the Madison Elders. We went door knocking with a 19 year old member who wants to serve a mission. Mans legit knew everyone in this trailer...

Week 69: Day Trips to the Capitol

Holy cow this week has been an eternity! But at the same time, P-day feels like yesterday. I think it's just that so much has happened in the last 7 days. Time is just quirky like that, I guess. Where to even start! So Monday night was epic. We had Labor Day dinner with some members and their friend Triny that we've been teaching for a few weeks now. We had one of the most spiritual lessons of my mission after dinner, and the lesson almost didn't happen. Pretty much Triny is like the most prepared person ever! She asked so many amazing questions and the members there did such a great job at helping her understand. Tuesday we knocked some rich houses. I didn't know this, but apparently not everyone believes that Satan was a fallen son of God, therefore making him our brother, and technically, Christ's brother as well. We pretty much met someone who was very nice, but made it very clear that he did NOT believe Satan and Jesus were related in that way. I see where he w...

Week 68: Miracles in the Work (w/ a capital W)

Well friends. It's been another week. And it was a week indeed. Zone Conference!! Agh! so glad we had a real one this transfer as opposed to last transfer's mini zone conference. It was good to gather again in the name of Christ. We talked a lot about the Book of Mormon, and the power that it can have on our friends. It's been really cool to see as we've put it into use over the last few days, and see the changes that have been made in our friends over such a short period of time! Anyways, the rest of this week was a vibe. We had dinner at one of our friends' parent's home, and it was so amazing! A, the food was delicious, and B, we had some great fellowshipping with some members there and had a bit of a lesson with her.  My pickleball paddles came in from China this week. That was such a joy. Literally took 3 weeks, but I'm glad that they're here. We went contacting at an Arts and Crafts festival thing on Saturday. Pretty much there were over 100 booths...
