Week 70: budge boy sweet 16
Oh hey 😏
It's Elder Creer, again. Just another week in the chat. But sheesh this week had a whole lot happen!
That thing that happens every 6 weeks happened this past week. Elder Smith finished his mission, so (in his words) he's back in the factory *sad face emoji*. But that means a new companion is in town! Elder Murray is my new comp! We actually lived in the same dorm building at BYU together, so that's kind of fun. I think we knew of each other, but low key, I can't fully remember. It was fun to talk about the fire alarms that went off in the middle of the night like once every 2 weeks while we were there. #budgeboisunite
So yeah, Elder Murray and I have been running it up since Friday afternoon, and it's been really good. We will see where the miracles of this transfer take us!
Ok, so this week we went on exchanges with the Madison Elders. We went door knocking with a 19 year old member who wants to serve a mission. Mans legit knew everyone in this trailer park that we knocked. We knock on a door and some guy cracks the door, says "We're not interested. Sorry Davis," and shuts the door in his face. Like sheesh, that's cold. Thankfully, he brushed it off like a true missionary, but I did feel a little bad for him after that. We did find someone really cool to teach though, so it worked out :)
We also had some wholesome goodbye lessons with our friends this week here in Shelbyville. Our friends were sad to see Elder Smith go, but for the most part we think they've transitioned nicely to Elder Murray. What was really cool, was at volleyball night, Makenzie and Jazzy showed up, and they made up after having some beef the last few weeks.
Jazzy's mom also bought me some poison ivy stuff. Because holy cow poison ivy is terrible. Like low key, it's all over me rn. That cemetery clean up last week proved fatal. smh
We had dinner at our Bishop's house, and it was so fun! They talked about their missions and how they met. They asked if we had girlfriends back home and if they've dumped us, lol. It was funny.
But yeah. Overall, it was a really good week. A lot of planning and packing, but I look forward to what the next week has in store!
'Till next time!!
