Week 93: gone fishin', again

Image
Heyo! Good week in the KLM again. It was a long one. We took a road trip down to the Deep South district, and went on exchanges with the sulphur well and Glasgow areas. Glasgow has a fancy apartment, and it was nice. We worked really hard to get friends at church this week, and it paid off with six of them coming in person. We also got a family to church which was super exciting! Rn, I'm doing this voice to text, so it's probably not the best. We're currently fishing at a member's lake, which is nice. Some news for back home... I have a job this summer as an FSY counselor which is pretty cool. I also signed a lease last Monday for an apartment at BYU. This is the last week of the transfer coming up, so we're going to go all out and get some work done! Cant believe I start my second to last transfer this week! Sorry for the super rain email this week, I just can't really remember what happened. Other than a lot of cool progression Peace! Elder Creer Kentucky Loui...

Week 92: Vday ZoCo

Heyo! Is it terrible to not proof-read an email? Probably. But I don't want to spend another 5 minutes doing that, so surely there's no typos. Surely. What a good week! This week we had some fire key indicators, and just a great week all around.  Tuesday we did a Bike day, and biked about 15 miles which was pretty fun. Wednesday the Campbellsville Elders came up and blitz our area the day before Zone Conference. Since we had two companionships, I took 2 ours around the outskirts of our area so that we could visit our friends that we haven't visited in forever. It was actually pretty successful, and we found several people to work with in Upton (the southern most town in our area). Thursday was Zone Conference again. Honestly, it was pretty interesting day. But the Spirit was present in rich abundance at the end of the meeting, as President McGinn taught about understanding how the Spirit speaks to us individually. After ZoCo, we had Stake Council and Stake Adult Leadership ...

Week 91: Logging and Roses

Heyoooo! Week 91 in the books! This week we did a lot of member work, which straight up ate. Our zone was really focusing on Member Participating Lessons, and we were able to have 6! We are super hyped about the work here in Etown, as we're looking forward to having 7 or 8 friends at Church this coming week. It's gonna be epic! We also did a lot of service for members this week. For one member, we trimmed some hedges and put some plywood back on the shed. After screwing 4 screws with a drill, the member asked my comp when he became such an master carpenter. So that became the meme of the week.  For another member, we woke up early on Saturday morning to the stormy weather and drove to their home at 7am. We had breakfast with them, and then went out and worked on their 100 acre farm. They had a couple trees fall down. So while the member chainsawed them up, we loaded up a truck full of wood and cleared surrounding tree limbs. It was quite interesting to do in the sopping wet wea...

Week 90: The Joe Rogan Experience

Hey y'all! It's been a long one, but a good one! Pretty much this week was spent with 3 exchanges. It was low key pretty exhausting and a lot, but it was also pretty fun. This week as a zone, we had the goal to find 55 new friends, or 5 friends per area, and the zone absolutely crushed it! We found 68, and it was so awesome to see the zone put their faith to work. We're going for 50 Member Participating Lessons this week, and we're hoping to see some more miracles! We drove the hour and a half down to Tompkinsville last Monday night, and blitzed their area on Tuesday. They don't have a car right now, so I was with Elder Charchenko on a bike for the day. It was actually pretty enjoyable, despite the fact that I totally broke his companions bike. #ripthederailerhanger. We found a couple of cool potentials and enjoyed getting to bike around town. Wednesday was really my only day to fully work the Etown area, and it ate and left very few crumbs. We found 4 people that d...
