Week 90: The Joe Rogan Experience
Hey y'all!
It's been a long one, but a good one!
Pretty much this week was spent with 3 exchanges. It was low key pretty exhausting and a lot, but it was also pretty fun.
This week as a zone, we had the goal to find 55 new friends, or 5 friends per area, and the zone absolutely crushed it! We found 68, and it was so awesome to see the zone put their faith to work. We're going for 50 Member Participating Lessons this week, and we're hoping to see some more miracles!
We drove the hour and a half down to Tompkinsville last Monday night, and blitzed their area on Tuesday. They don't have a car right now, so I was with Elder Charchenko on a bike for the day. It was actually pretty enjoyable, despite the fact that I totally broke his companions bike. #ripthederailerhanger. We found a couple of cool potentials and enjoyed getting to bike around town.
Wednesday was really my only day to fully work the Etown area, and it ate and left very few crumbs. We found 4 people that day, and had some pretty awesome lessons.
Thursday was an interesting day. We were planning on exchanging with the APs, but they weren't able to make it down until that evening. So that kind of made the day a little quirky, but it was all good. We did some finding, and then enjoyed being with the APs for the next day.
District Council was one of the quirkiest meetings of my mission. Their were so many people there: The STLs were training, the APs were there on exchanges with us, a new Senior Military Relations Couple was there for the first time, and the Zahlmanns (the office vehicle coordinator and mission secretary) were there. So it was a party. The Zahlmanns brought donuts which made it even more of a party.
We spent that afternoon exchanged with the APs, and Elder Kopinsky and I went down to Hogenville to do some finding. To exchange back, we met up in Lebanon Junction, and then immediately exchanged with the Shepherdsville Elders lol. I was with Elder Hanks for this exchange which was super fun, and we had a good time talking and doing a little bit of a Joe Rogan experience. Shepherdsville is a pretty cool area with a lot of people, and it was good to do some finding there. We found some super cool people that we're excited about.
Anyways, so that was way too much information about the way too many exchanges this week. Just kidding. It was a good time.
The rest of the weeks activities were good. It's crazy we're already 2 and a half weeks into the transfer. Interviews are tomorrow, and Zone Conference is just around the corner. We've seen a lot of awesome miracles in this area over the last few months, and I'm excited to see where it goes over the next few weeks!
Love y'all and talk to you next week!
