Week 91: Logging and Roses

Heyoooo!

Week 91 in the books! This week we did a lot of member work, which straight up ate. Our zone was really focusing on Member Participating Lessons, and we were able to have 6! We are super hyped about the work here in Etown, as we're looking forward to having 7 or 8 friends at Church this coming week. It's gonna be epic!

We also did a lot of service for members this week. For one member, we trimmed some hedges and put some plywood back on the shed. After screwing 4 screws with a drill, the member asked my comp when he became such an master carpenter. So that became the meme of the week.

For another member, we woke up early on Saturday morning to the stormy weather and drove to their home at 7am. We had breakfast with them, and then went out and worked on their 100 acre farm. They had a couple trees fall down. So while the member chainsawed them up, we loaded up a truck full of wood and cleared surrounding tree limbs. It was quite interesting to do in the sopping wet weather. There was mud everywhere, and my tennis shoes were certainly not sufficient and were officially ruined.

Probably the most exciting thing from this week, was our friend Esa. She's been reading the Book of Mormon pretty consistently and is on chapter 15 or 16. She texted us several times this week saying that the Book of Mormon is changing her life, and that it's helping her feel peace! So that is super exciting! We had a lesson with her yesterday and brought some members, and she instantly connected with one of them. We're really looking forward to her coming to Church for the first time next week!

Other than that, we had interviews this week, which are always a treat. We were practically at the church for like 6 hours that day, because we trained at the Old Kentucky District Council. So that was interesting. President McGinn gave me some good advice on returning home soon, which is exciting.

Anyways, overall a good week this week. Looking forward to Zone Conference this coming week as it should be good.
