Week 92: Vday ZoCo
Heyo!
Is it terrible to not proof-read an email? Probably. But I don't want to spend another 5 minutes doing that, so surely there's no typos. Surely.
What a good week! This week we had some fire key indicators, and just a great week all around.
Tuesday we did a Bike day, and biked about 15 miles which was pretty fun.
Wednesday the Campbellsville Elders came up and blitz our area the day before Zone Conference. Since we had two companionships, I took 2 ours around the outskirts of our area so that we could visit our friends that we haven't visited in forever. It was actually pretty successful, and we found several people to work with in Upton (the southern most town in our area).
Thursday was Zone Conference again. Honestly, it was pretty interesting day. But the Spirit was present in rich abundance at the end of the meeting, as President McGinn taught about understanding how the Spirit speaks to us individually. After ZoCo, we had Stake Council and Stake Adult Leadership Meeting, so it was the definition of meetings all day. It was interesting.
Then... The Weekend.
The Weekend ate. It left very few crumbs. We were in a lesson with 2 friends, and he started talking about how he's been wanting to come to Church for a long time now, and how he was denied baptism at another Church. He wanted to work towards baptism, so we invited him to follow the example of Jesus Christ. We told him that if he would come to Church the following day, it would be a strong sign to the Lord of his desire to be baptized. He committed to it, and so did his niece! And then they actually came to Church!
Church was actually heat. There was a Returned Missionary who got home from the Netherlands on Friday speaking. Her Uncle happens to be Elder Nathan Craig, an Area Seventy, so he was there as well. We were so happy that 3 of our friends were able to join us in worshiping the Savior together. We were expecting 12 friends, but we're praying that we'll be able to get that many or more next week. Next Sunday is our big zone challenge in which we're trying to get 100 friends to Church as a zone.
Etown has had so much explosion of potential in the last few weeks, and we're just so excited to see how things are going to turn out. We found out that one of our most progressing friends that has come to church the last month, lives in the same neighborhood as 3 member families which is super awesome. We also followed up at this one house, and the daughter answered the door, and said that she had read the entire Book of Mormon (in a week) and loved it. She prayed about it, and believes it to be true! She also said that she gave it to her boyfriend to read as well. So it's just been so awesome to see all of our friends progressing!
Overall it's been a good week, and I'm excited for what's to come here in Etown!
Love y'all so much!!!
