Week 97: I Believe in Christ ~ An Easter Devotional

Image
Hey! Happy P-day, y'all!! We're approaching week 100, and it's getting surreal. Shoutout to Sister Matthews and Sister Patterson for completing their missions this past week!! Super exciting stuff! Anyways, this week was good. We enjoyed 2 exchanges; one with the APs, and one with the Salem Elders. On Tuesday, I ran it back up with Elder Nelson here in New Albany. This was a really impactful exchange for me, and perhaps one of the most powerful ones of my mission. I love Elder Nelson, and am grateful for his dedicated discipleship <3 Thursday to Friday, I ran it back again with Elder Ford, also here in New Albany. Him and I enjoyed a good day of finding and randomly knocking into a member while door-knocking. #todayfilter Friday we enjoyed two district councils, and we trained at my son's Hoosier District. He had a great training on remembering.  #fullcirclemoment Saturday was interesting. That's about the best way to describe it. We essentially started off bri...

Week 96: Ferdinand, Just 10 Years Later

Hey hey hey! Well, I guess it's been another week in the KLM! This week was a vibe. We enjoyed a fun exchange in Jasper, Indiana this week. It's about an hour drive from here of just straight corn fields along I-64. We blitzed their area, and had a member meal with 6 missionaries, which was a first for me on the mish. It was pretty fun ngl. Getting off I-64 at the Jasper exit, we passed by a  Wendy's that the Larsons and I ate at 10 years ago around 11:30pm after a day at Holiday World. So that's a blast back to the past if I've ever seen one. This past week I hit 22 months as a missionary, which is insane. In honor of said occasion, we cleaned out 2 sheds full of Kentucky Level junk. One of the sheds was coated in oil, antifreeze, paint thinner, and probably several other vaporous liquids that we hundred percent should not have inhaled. If a match was lit in that place it would have def gone up in flames. So that was a vibe. We were taking shovels to all the junk a...

Week 95: Tri-City Flip Daddies

Oh Hey! 😏 What an interesting week, my friends! Lots and Lots of meetings over the last few days. Tuesday was probably the day we had the most time to Proselyte. We spent the day in the rain visiting people and knocking some doors. We found this one super awesome lady who moved from Louisville a few months ago, and we're hoping to meet with her again this coming week. Wednesday was an all day event in Crestwood for MLC. Good times. We had a really good discussion on the Spirit and about reverence. I love President McGinn and the way that he teaches and leads.  Thursday we did some service at a food pantry, and this food pantry left very few crumbs. They essentially get too much food to hand out to the needy, so they let their workers essentially shop from there as well for free. We spent 2 hours sorting through food and organizing it to look all pretty. It was low-key a vibe, and I enjoyed it a lot. We also had a really god lesson with one of our most progressing friends. H...

Week 94: Livin' in Hoosierville

Hey hey hey party people! What a week here in the KLM! Lots of happenings fr. We had transfers last week which was always a fun time. I ended up getting transferred up to New Albany, Indiana on Friday and it's just absolutely crazy that this will probably be the last area of my mission. Sheesh. But this area leaves very few crumbs. Tons and tons of work to do which is just always a blast. We had a baptism on Saturday, so that was a good way to start the area I guess, lol. He's super cool and is the fiance of a member. #flirttoconvert if you know what I mean. But, back to Etown. I had perhaps the most interesting member meal experience of my life on Wednesday. They were on the Carnivore diet and so they had a medium sized domino's pizza for us, and then they were cooking T-bone steaks for themselves. The husband thought it was hilarious that she just bought us a single pizza and so he offered to cook us up some steak as well lol. They only referred to each other as "b...
