Week 95: Tri-City Flip Daddies
Oh Hey! 😏
What an interesting week, my friends!
Lots and Lots of meetings over the last few days. Tuesday was probably the day we had the most time to Proselyte. We spent the day in the rain visiting people and knocking some doors. We found this one super awesome lady who moved from Louisville a few months ago, and we're hoping to meet with her again this coming week. Wednesday was an all day event in Crestwood for MLC. Good times. We had a really good discussion on the Spirit and about reverence. I love President McGinn and the way that he teaches and leads.
Thursday we did some service at a food pantry, and this food pantry left very few crumbs. They essentially get too much food to hand out to the needy, so they let their workers essentially shop from there as well for free. We spent 2 hours sorting through food and organizing it to look all pretty. It was low-key a vibe, and I enjoyed it a lot. We also had a really god lesson with one of our most progressing friends. He's the boyfriend of one of the members here and we had a good talk with him about how he can have individual experiences with the Spirit and how that will help him progress and let the Savior into his life. He's essentially been taught everything, he just needs to act in faith and make the next step.
Friday was District Council. We had it in the High Council room which was a vibe. #comfychairs.
Saturday was our Zone Leadership Council. We had it in Corydon, Indiana, which is one of the most interesting Church buildings I've been in. The Primary room was in the basement with 7 ft tall ceilings. ZLC was good though, and we had a good talk about how we're going to move the work forward this transfer. Afterwords we got food at Flip Daddies, which is a gourmet burger place. I got a PB&J burger, and low-key it was mid ngl. But it'll buff.
And then Sunday! Good day overall. Taught one of our friends that is a trucker that listens to the Book of Mormon on the road with his trainee driver. We also had a new and returning member fireside last night, which was actually super good. Some awesome conversion stories were shared, and I was glad we were able to go.
Other than that, I found someone who used to live in the Columbus Indiana 1st Ward who knew my Aunt Kristin and the one and only Hannah.larson4, so that's kind of cool. This coming week is going to be pretty good, and I'm excited for it. We got interviews with President tomorrow, and then a full week of work ahead of us!
But yeah! Hope y'all have a great week! Can't believe I'll be home in less than 3 months!
Love,
