Week 102: (hashtag)QuadLife
Interesting Week.
On Tuesday, I had my final regular scheduled interview with President McGinn. So that was kind of surreal. We talked about the final weeks of my mission and how I can carry that into the rest of my life. Being a missionary never stops. Some might even say #NewAlbanyNevaStops.
Wednesday we had MLC which was definitely one of the more interesting ones I've attended. We had a great discussion about the blessings of attending Sacrament meeting on the morning. The entire afternoon was a discussion on how we're going to start keeping each other accountable for key indicators for conversion. Particularly monthly baptism goals. So it'll be interesting.
So in other news, the Bike Elders' apartment had a pipe collapse under their floor so they've been living with us since Wednesday. Their maintenance people have been quite the situation as they've dug an absolute trench all throughout their apartment. The quad life has been interesting. Thankfully we have 2 bedrooms and 2 baths, but it's a little tight. Low-key, we got some frat house vibes up in this crib. So that's been interesting and fun.
Saturday was our ZLC of that MLC mentioned earlier. We got some "Get It On a Bun at Booty's" for lunch afterwords, and dropped an absolute bag. #notworthit, but #NewAlbanyStaple (?)
We did eat some really good food this week though. Friday was perhaps some of the best Mexican food I've had on the mission. And it was in the home of a pilot for UPS, so it was such a vibe to talk about planes for an hour
We got a good flick of the Louisville Skyline up in the Knobs after said member meal. It was fire, except you def can't see the Louisville skyline in it LOL. It's there in spirit. Surely.
But yeah! This week will probably slay. We got some district councils to train at, and then a fire exchange. So it'll be good
But until then?
Peace!
