Week 19: Happenings

Well, it's been a week. Happy P-day to me I guess.

This week was interesting. We went on exchanges with the DL, and I was here in Henderson with Elder Wood. We had a really good lesson with Alan on the Commandments, which he really enjoyed. The man straight up read lesson 4 in Preach My Gospel, so he basically knew it all. Oh and he also read the missionary standards (the rules) to which he said "Y'all go through such a <grueling> schedule and have to go through <so> much stuff". Tell me about it buddy. Tell me about it. Anyways, he's golden and we love him to death. He will get baptized soon. Other than that, this week felt like an eternity. I was slightly going insane by the end of it. something about that "grueling schedule" am i right???

Also, I learned how to crochet. That was unique. One of our friends runs a Prayer Shawl Ministry for her church and we were invited to come with. Picture this: two teenage men in white shirts and a tie walk in to a room of elderly women all crocheting. Unique. Let me tell ya.

Oh...ahahahahaha...they also went around the room and had everyone say their name, and a quick spiritual thought. For mine I said that God loves everyone and wants to talk to all groups of people (wink wink). Elder Kalb just straight up quoted Mosiah 2:17. It was so funny. I about died trying to contain my laughter. I then proceeded to makesa washcloth (see pic)

And HOW can I forget! it was the 21st night of September this week (sadly the video is too long to send in full, but below you can enjoy a brief clip to satisfy your desire for some Earth, Wind, and Fire)

Ok, imma go stream of consiousness the rest of this email, because I need to go have a water-balloon fight with the district apparently (eye roll emoji)

Let's see. Decorated a couples house in Halloween decorations which was fun). Purchased some falsly advertised Reese's Cups.

Had some guy do a happy dance (not really a dance but I like to think it was) saying "Well I guess I'm a Mormon!!" after us answering his questions straight from an anti-mormon page. He was a little skeptical of the questions, and wanted to see what we would answer with. We debunked the myths, and he promptly did his happy dance. Fun fact: Joseph Smith did not run through the woods with 1024 pounds of plates in his arms. Ahahahahahahahaha, like I mean come on. Let's at least try not to be ludicrous. Like what??? ahahahahaha.

Oh and Business as usual... (see screenshot of the rarely seen "area book planner"). Yeah this week was yikes. It was hard, but the work will continue!

Well y'all, some weeks are harder than others. Thankfully we can keep pressing forward. I look forward to Zone Conference this week, and look forward to talking to y'all next week!!!

Love,

Elder Creer
