Week 58: Pinkwash to Shelbyville

Image
Well! End of an era! Transfer number 9 is in the books, and we saw some changes! Looking back, this has kind of been an insane week. But it was also really awkward that I completely forgot to attach pictures last week. So I'll include those in this email. Anyways, se had so much happen, I honestly can't even remember what we did on Tuesday. Probably missionary work lol. But Wednesday was fun! We had an awesome lesson with one of our friends in Winchester, and then immediately after that we got transfer calls. Actually, President Alder called us right as we started our lesson with our friend, so we told President that he was going to have to wait an hour. Anyways, once when we got out of the lesson we rushed back to the car, so we could get transfer news, only to be met by a disgruntled lady who aggresively declared, "ONE man and ONE Woman -- They enter a covenant relationship with God!' We were like, "Oh my goodness! You are so right!" She then told us that w...

Week 57: A Semi of Food

Well y'all, another week in the books. Welcome back to Elder Creer's weekly synopsis. Super exciting stuff, I know.  Turns out they lied to us, and P-day is actually today instead of Wednesday.  Well, this week was interesting. Lots of service. Like a lot. Tuesday we helped our neighbor out by building their ramp for a wheelchair. It took like 3 hours, as all the pieces were scattered throughout their porch and backyard for the last few months (since the last attempt at building it) and their were no instructions. Pretty fun to try and piece it all together. Used about a quarter of the available parts, so hopefully it'll work 🤪 Cool things happening in the work, though! We have a really promising friend in the Beattyville Branch Boundaries (which consists of 5 active member, 2 couples, and one widow). She will be a great blessing to the Branch, and we're really hoping that Nancy will get baptized soon (shoutout to Granny!) We also had a friend come to Church Yesterday,...

Week 56: Paris Mini Homes

Image
Week 56 in the books. Busy week for sure. Rapid fire update...  - Exchange in Paris  - Bucc-ee's on Monday with some members and other missionaries.  - Pretty fun Board game called Scythe last P-day  - New Members Hawaian/80s themed mini-home. Lots of fun stuff indeed. Exchages in Paris were fun. I got to see the Eiffel Tower (a smaller one from Las Vegas) and taught a couple of cool friends. All while enjoying Elder Cooper's homeade caramel.  Our new member, Cody is absolutely awesome! He's single and lives in a Mini-home, that's so fun looking! We show up for dinner, and we texted him that we weren't sure we were at the right place. He texted saying, "Do you see a mini home. lol" It was hilarious. We then had a photoshoot with it, while we waited for him to get there. He's getting ready to go through the Temple soon and he just received the Melkezidek Priesthood a few weeks ago. He's awesome. Bucc-ee's on Monday. Fun to be back again. To so...

Week 55: Go Big Blue!

Image
Hey. Not really sure what to write about today. A lot happened though probably. Went to Lexington on exchanges with the ZLs. Pretty fun party to be a UK elder for a day though. UK campus is gorgeous. Even though there's like no one on campus for the summer, and we did a lot of door knocking on college apartments. It was really fun to be in a big city again. So much fun! This week was definitely a finding grind though. Lots of door knocking with a lot of rejection. But we had a couple of good finds, so it was overall good. Take for example our mircle filled bike day last Tuesday. We decided to go on our bikes all day on Tuesday, and it went crazy well. Like seriously so much awesome stuff happened. Literally we pull up to an apartment complex with like 100 apartments and the first door we knocked, 2 super interested people came out and sounded like they were wanting us to come back and talk some more. While we were sitting in the shade reporting that, another guy came out of his apa...
